It hasn't been long since the 2016 Eurovision ended officially (mention when it ended). This is the time fan bloggers rack up some charts, information, comparison, contradiction, what not.. In short, this is the time we flock the trending gossips together in our write-ups. For now, I will start (and possibly end) with the top 10 hottest guys to perform on this year's sophisticated eurovision platform.
Let us start with number 10, and save the best for last.. 10.Denmark's Joe of Lighthouse X
The smallest Scandinavian state managed to send a trio filled with hotties and Lighthouse X's Joe is one of them.
9.Sweden's Frans
His name might sound like a country but he could be considered as one of the hottest ones this year as he has that typical Swedish charm. Frans is considered one of the youngest contestants this year, participating at the age of 17.
8.Lithuania's Donny Montell
The long awaited four-year comeback informed fellow fans that it was worth the wait, as he seems to be manlier than ever.. He's still got the charm like 2012 and undoubtedly succeeded in captivating the audience..
7.Søren from Denmark's Lighthouse X
We have another one from Denmark who has that typical Scandinavian charm. His vocals are amazing and he's also smoking hot.
6.Hungary's Pioneer aka Freddie
This pioneer is one of the sexiest singer of the contest and with no doubt his charm had succeed in bringing him to Eurovision. Besides that, his manly structure could make people fall for him easily.
5.Netherland's Douwe Bob
The classy and sexy style of Douwe seems to attract myriads and is all they see in this year's Dutch singer. Winning votes by charm, eh?
4.Denmark's Martin Skriver
Martin seems to outshine the other two in the trio. With his blonde hair and charming smile, he actually has the potential to rob the hearts of many fans.
3.Estonia's Jüri Pootsman
Mesmerizing blue eyes full of charm, accompanied by his deep voice, motivates many ti hit play in his tracks.. The Baltic beauty also has that killer smile everyone expects.. What more can one want?
2.Latvia's Justs
He's as talented as Aminata and we must say that his Baltic charm managed to rob the hearts of many fans. It has also been speculated that he seems the hottest one out of the Baltic boys.
1.Russia's Sergey Lazarev
Excitement rings at the very mention of his name. It brings me honor is claiming Sergey Lazarev the hottest man in eurovision 2k16. His manly characteristics blend with his enchanting voice creating the aura that we seek, and so we crown him the apex securing the number 1 position.
Though it was short, we now close having throned the beautiful men in this year's eurovision. We all agree that this year was as magnificent as it could get. Now we round off in this cliché dialogue "like, comment, share" and feel free to convey anything. Thank you.. Well thats our list of the hottest guys of the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest.
It hadn't been long since Ukraine's win and we finally found another winner, which is the winner of the Barbara Dex award which is also known as the worst dressed award and we must say that Ukraine's win wasn't surprising. Nina Kraljic won with her costume inside out, which is a weird kimono like outfit which turns into a bizarre structured dress which has an uncanny patterns on every part of the costume.
A description about the first outfit, is that it looks like a wannabe kimono with peculiar branch like patterns on translucent cloth which has a collar with a quirky design. Her hair had waves in the back which might represent the sea whilst her kimono might represent the ship which is sailing towards the lighthouse.
After a while, her coat was then removed and it transformed into a dress which looks really odd and who knows that it denotes the lighthouse that the ship has been looking for. Well, Nina's dress was unique inside out but we need to call the fashion police as there is a fashion crime going on. Her outfit inside actually looks like ruffles which are randomly pasted on the edge of the long cloth on the arm part with something that looks like feathers on the long sleeve which is not done in a proper way so it needs to be neatened up.
Overall, Nina still manages to throw a stunning performance with her angelic voice despite the fact that she was wearing an uncanny eccentric dress which seems to have metallic fabrics, ruffles or feathers placed in an uncanny manner.
If we have to be honest about this year's Eurovision, then we should consider it as an unpredictable one and the results had proved on how hard id the level of the competition is. The unpredictable results, had caused many crimes in this year's contest and let's discuss some of the crimes of that had happened in this year's contest. Greta Salome didn't hear Iceland being called to the Grand Final
This one, could be considered a really shocking one, as it wasn't just predicted to qualify but it was also predicted to give Iceland their first victory. Unfortunately, she didn't qualify despite the fact that she owned the stage with her stunning performance. With no doubt, this is one of the biggest crimes of this year's contest and another surprising thing is the fact that she only finished 14th in her semi-final. Juri Pootsmann finished last
Estonia was actually predicted to shield their previous placing in this year's contest, surprisingly he did not just finished last in his semi-final but he finished last in the whole contest. It could be considered as the bigeest crime as his performance was truly amazing and he managed to own the stage, besides that he was a favorite of many fans.
Agnete failed to help Norway in the frozen water
"I'll be you're ICEBREAKER, when you're stuck in frozen water", it is one of the most popular phrases in Agnete's song. She is another shocking non-qualifier as she seemed to be predicted to qualify. Unfortunately, she failed to bring Norway to the grand final and she only finished 13th. Kaliopi failed to go to the final
Another crime happened to a return artist and it is Kaliopi who came from the same year with Greta Salome. Her return was as delightful as a a delicious doughnut for many fans but she failed to qualify by receiving 11th in her semi-final which was really close to qualifying. Her performance was truly wonderful when she sung the masterpiece and this is another crime as it is favoured by many fans.
Germany finished last in the contest AGAIN
Once again, Germany received the last place that they didn't deserved and it was truly shocking as it had actually succeed in topping the charts. Her performance was actually unique with the harajuku theme and the mysterious aura but with no valid reason, she managed to surprise us bybeing on the bottom right of the scoreboard which did surprise the fans.
Czech Republic received nul points in televoting
Well, this one is really surprising as it was also a favourite to do well in the grand final but it managed to surprise us by not receiving any points in the grand final. Czech Republic might break their streak of not qualifying but recieving nul points in the televoting was a big crime as she made a stunning performance during the grand final. Well, thats some of the crime that had happened in the contest and they were truly shocking as no one expected it. Besides that, countries like Greece and Bosnia had broke their streak of always qualifying which is another surprising fact even though Bosnia nearly qualified. If there was less crime, then the contest wouldn't be that hard but due to the tough competition, many crimes occured this year.
It hadn’t been long since Jamala’s victory in Eurovision and we must say that Sweden had an astounding stage this year. From the stage itself, we could see that many countries had thrown wonderful and breathtaking performances with special effects that could be considered as out of this world. As usual we had creative and innovative machines such as pyros, smoke machines, wind machines, lustrous LEDS and unique technologies like holograms. In this article we will show you 5 performances with the craziest special effects or acts.
Russia serves us a moving LED wall
Sergey’s performance could be considered as the coolest one, with moving LED walls and with Sergey ascending up the “stairs” which had unknowingly appeared on the walls. The performance was truly brilliant and Sergey seemed to enjoy the performance despite the fact that he had to stay energized whilst focusing on his moves. The complicated performance seemed to amaze everyone and that could be a reason for him to win the televoting.
Belarus’s Ivan with his shape shifters
Before the real live began, Ivan was rumored to perform naked with real wolves on the stage. On the good side, it didn’t happen for the whole performance but instead it happened during the opening of the performance which is still a bad thing. That itself was totally bizarre but he managed to proceed with the performance by using shape shifter in the form of him playing different instruments. Unfortunately, his performance did not stand out as well as the other competitors and caused him not to advance to the grand final.
Armenia’s Iveta Mukucyan takes over the stage with her waves of special effects
Out of every performance in this year’s contest, we must say that Armenia managed to slay with a lot of special effects. It started with pyros, and then carried on with other special effects as she delivers the waves of amazement to the crowd. The holograms during the instrumental part astonished the crowd and managed to keep our interest due to the wondrous technology. With no doubt, the special effects succeed to bring Armenia to the grand finals.
Iceland’s Greta Salome hears them calling in the ‘woods’
Greta did bring the same staging from Iceland to Stockholm, the staged looked like the woods in a cartoonish manner and her vocals were totally impressive. She made a good use of the LED walls and floors and was very energetic on stage. The part where she suddenly disappeared and return was truly amazing. It was actually surprising when we know that she didn’t qualify, as her live performance was performed beautifully.
Australia’s Dami Im feels the love through face time
Our first runner up managed to start the performance by sitting on a block as she feels her love through face time, it was actually a splendid start as the holograms helped to make it look really cool. Besides that, her dress looked stunning with glistening and shining colors and it managed to blend in with the song really well. The live did have a did have a simple start which is proceeded with a cool hologram effect and she managed to end it in a simple way, with no doubt this could be a reason for her to win the heart of the jury’s.
Well, that was some of the wondrous and craziest stagings of this year and with no doubt, this shows that Eurovision still serves us with amazing performances through its stages which changes in every edition.
On 14 May 2016, Ukraine won the 2016 Eurovision with Jamala and her melancholic natured song, 1944 this means they. The historical melancholic song sung in Crimean Tatar and English had banked 534 points creating the landslide of 23 points with the first runner up, Australia. Jamala dedicates this song to her great grandmother, who could be considered as a victim of the horrendous incident in 1944.
The 1944 incident in Ukraine, was ordered by Stalin and through this song, the pain and suffering, the anguish, all boiled down to a few sententious minutes of song. Besides the fleeting screams from the latter, which had reached out to myriads, together with the meaningful few esoteric lyrics which could be seen from the part "Where is your mind?/ Humanity cries. / You think you are gods. / But everyone dies./Don't swallow my soul./Our souls" .
However, despite giving Ukra, her quote at the press conference, "If you sing about the truth,it can really touch people", really showed the reason for her victory. Albeit the song had had gathered ample of controversies, many claiming it 'political', she really spoke about the truth through the Crimean Tatar parts "Yaşlığıma toyalmadım /Men bu yerde yaşalmadım " which means "I couldn't spend my youth here/Because you took away my peace" as the incident might had happened during great grandmother's youth.
Nevertheless, history is history and this historical song talks about the humanity and how did humanity cry during Stalin's rule. Maybe the reason for this to win, was because of the truth that it speaks, the truth about the lack of humanity during Stalin's rule. Albeit the performance was simple, Jamala's vocals were totally on point yet expressive and the song had succeed in touching the heart of millions. Overall, Sweden did a great job in hosting the show and we hope that Ukraine, will also do a great job in hosting the show next year and lets hope that peace would be found in every corners of this world.
26 countries are going to sing in the grand final of the 2016 Eurovision Song contest but in the midst of the 26 finalists we already have 6 known qualifiers which consists of the big 5 (Spain, France, Italy, United Kingdom and Germany) and last year's winning country, Sweden.
This year, all the 6 automatic qualifiers had sent song which could be considered strong enough to land in the top 20 if they could win the hearts of the fan during the live performance in Stockholm. To add the matter of a fact we do not need to wait for the grand final to see all the automatic qualifiers perform as France, Spain and Sweden will be performing in the first semi final while Germany, Italy and United Kingdom will do the same thing at the second semi-final. 1.Sweden-Frans-If I were Sorry
Sweden is sending something different this year, if they won with an upbeat song last year then they sent something in contrast to it which is an electronic folk. They chose their entry through the famous Swedish national selection, Melodifestivalen and 17 year old Frans, managed to win it. The song shows that people could ask for forgiveness through many ways and from this song, we know that someone could rob a bank or a post office to be forgiven even though it is actually a bizarre way to earn forgiveness. If Frans could throw a wondrous performance with this simple folk song, he could give a good place for the host country. 2.France-Amir-J'ai Cherche
If France sent a ballad last year, then it is an upbeat song this year and the upbeat song is something which could lighten up your mood and maybe help you find what you have been searching for. Amir's vocals live are totally on point and the song itself has the ingredients to land in the top 5 as the French and English language really synchronizes with the beat of the song. Many odds has predicted that this entry has a really high potential to win the contest and who knows that France could find what every participating country have been searching for, which is winning this year's contest. If Amir could amaze us in Stockholm, then who knows that we would be going to France for next year's Eurovision? 3.Germany- Jamie-Lee Kriewitz - Ghost
Germany serves us a song with an eerie yet mysterious atmosphere titled 'Ghost', we could actually feel that atmosphere from the title of the song itself. Jamie-Lee's vocals really blends in with the song, as it gives us the creepy yet comfortable feeling when we listen to it. If Jamie could throw an eerie and memorable performance in Stockholm, then who knows that Germany could land in the top 10 as this song could be seen in good position in many tops. Maybe we could see a creepy performance in Stockholm later? 4.Italy-Francesca Michielin-No Degree Of Separation
Francesca Michielin is going to sing No Degree Of Separation which was the runner up of this year's Sanremo. The song has a wonderful message about humanity, it shows that we should not be racist, we should not discriminate others and we should treat people like humans as there is no degree of separation between us and we are the world's people, even though we are different we are the same. The best thing is that the last chorus of the song is sung in English which really expresses the beautiful meaning of the song. Francesca's majestic vocals really sychronizes with the wonderful ballad and it is also a potential winner, as it is seen in high places in odds and tops. If she could serve us a wonderful live, then there are high chances for her to land in the top 5. 5. Spain-Barei-Say Yay!
After decades of joining Eurovision, Spain had finally sent a song which is being sung in full English and this attempt of theirs did a great job. They selected their entry through their national final, Objectivo Eurovision and they made a great choice as this song managed to stay strong. The song this year is an upbeat dance song which has a wonderful beat, you could feel alive again when you hear it as it really lightens your mood and makes you have the feeling of wanting to dance to it. It could be seen in high places in many tops and who knows that Spain could land in the top 10 this year. Barei has the catchy songs, catchy vocals and she just needs to give us an indedible performance to get a good place in the contest. 6.United Kingdom- Joe & Jake - You're Not Alone
United Kingdom opt for a national selection this year and they selected their entry through the national final 'Eurovision: You Decide' and Joe & Jake won the contest among the six songs in the national final. The song has a high potential to do well in Stockholm and this is not a bad choice, as the song is really memorable and it is something that you feel like you want to sing and dance to. The vocals of this duo are totally on point as it really synchronizes with the song. If they could give us a wonderful show in Stockholm, then there are chances for them to do much better than last year. Well, that is the preview that we have for all the auto-qualifiers and when you come to one point, the contest this year is going to be a tough one as we have a large stock of majestic songs this year. Lets just hope for the best and hope that would have a spectacular show this year.
Now we've reviewed the first half of the second-semi final, we're back to review the final part of the semi-final participants. 19 countries will participate in Semi Final 2 but only 10 will advance to the Grand Final. Semi Final 2 will be taking place on Thursday 12th May.
11 - Albania - Eneda Tarifa - Fairytale
Albania once again selected their Eurovision entrant via Festivali i Këngës and chose 34 year-old Eneda Tarifa to represent the country with "Fairytale" - the same title that won the contest for Norway back in 2009. I really preferred this before the revamp into English, and it seems that many also believe this as Albania is currently low down in the betting odds, being 39th out of 43. I unfortunately doubt a qualification for Albania in 2016.
12 - Bulgaria - Poli Genova - If Love Was A Crime
After a two year break from Eurovision, Bulgaria is back to the contest, sending ESC 2011 representative and JESC 2015 "hostess with the mostest" Poli Genova with "If Love Was A Crime". I believe that this could do very well for Bulgaria, maybe even getting them their best result since their most recent appearance in the Grand Final in 2007. Could we be heading off to Sofia for Eurovision 2017?
13 - Denmark - Lighthouse X - Soldiers of Love
Denmark held another edition of Dansk Melodi Grand Prix to decide their entry for Eurovision, choosing three-piece boyband Lighthouse X with "Soldiers of Love". After a non-qualification in 2015 with a boyband, I was quite surprised with the choice of Lighthouse X, especially with the presence of the other 2 superfinalists, Simone and Anja Nissen, but only time will tell whether Denmark will qualify for the Grand Final again.
14 - Georgia - Nika Kocharov & Young Georgian Lolitaz - Midnight Gold
Unlike most people, I actually really like Georgia's entry this year, more than Nina Sublatti last year. Nika & YGL were internally selected by the Georgian broadcaster, but had a national final with 5 songs from the band to decide which song would represent Georgia at Eurovision. The winner was "Midnight Gold", met with bad reception from fans and press, but after a revamp more people warmed up to the song. Even though a qualification for Georgia this year seems unlikely, I wish them the best of luck.
15 - Romania - Ovidiu Anton - Moment of Silence
With a national selection full of broken legs and thousands of Euros wasted, Ovidiu Anton was victorious with his drama-filled song "Moment of Silence". With this being the official song from Romania, many are doubtful over Romania keeping their 100% qualification record as the song is by no means one of the favourites. Ovidiu's voice is very good but with this song Romania could destroy their 100% qualification record.
16 - Slovenia - ManuElla - Blue and Red
ManuElla was selected to represent Slovenia through EMA, a national final with 10 songs. With all the hype surrounding the 2015 Slovenian entrants, Maraaya, ManuElla hasn't brought a song that can bring the same hype, and with some questionable lyrics (e.g. cause blue is blue and red is red) and with the song being 37th out of 43 in the betting odds to win Eurovision, this could possibly bring Slovenia their first non-qualification for 3 years.
17 - Norway - Agnete - Icebreaker
10 songs competed to represent Norway at Eurovision 2016 and the winner emerged as 21 year-old Agnete with the song "Icebreaker". Agnete will be a familiar face to Melodi Grand Prix watchers, as the winner of Junior Melodi Grand Prix 2008 and 2nd place in Melodi Grand Prix 2011 as part of The BlackSheeps. "Icebreaker" is a quite divisive song, with many being thrown by the tempo change that occurs at the start of the chorus. I think the song is very good once you get over the tempo change.
18 - Ukraine - Jamala - 1944
Ukraine returned from their 1 year break from Eurovision with a national final, which let a combined vote from the public and a jury choose Jamala and her heartfelt song "1944", about Stalin's mass deportation of 240,000 Crimean Tatars and her grandmother's heartache of this event. With lyrics such as "When strangers are coming, they come to your house, they kill you all and say we're (the Russians) not guilty", Jamala doesn't hide her heartache during the performance. "1944" could do very well for Ukraine.
19 - Belgium - Laura Tesoro - What's The Pressure
The final song competing in the semi-finals is Belgium, who chose Laura Tesoro with "What's The Pressure", a funk-filled dance song guaranteed to get people up and dancing in their living rooms all across Europe and the world. Many have warmed up to this song, and with a new and fresh artist like Laura, this could have a Bojana-style success. Good luck Belgium!
The second semi-final of this year's Eurovision is going to be as competitive as the first one and with no doubt, the result might be heartbreaking yet unexpectable but before we get the details, lets do a preview on this semi-final with the information that we have in hand and lets take a look at the countries that would be participating in this semi-final:
So, 19 countries would be participating in this semi-final and I would be doing a review on 10 out of the 19 songs.
1. Australia-Dami Im-Sound of Silence
Australia is still in Eurovision and I must say that this year's entry is a really powerful one, I just can't describe the love that I have towards this song. I believe that this song could qualify as Dami's vocals are totally on point and it really synchronizes with the song, the song is a strong one in my opinion, so I think that Australia could proceed to the Grand Final.
2.Belarus-Ivan-Help You Fly
If I have to tell you something about this entry, then I must say that I doubt that he would qualify due to various reasons. The song might not be forgettable but I think that it is not strong enough to go to the final, as there are better songs. The next problem is that, his vocals needs to be enhanced as it isn't that strong. Well, when you come to one point I must say that the only way for Belarus to get a good place in the semi-final is by doing enhancements on his vocals and there should be a good live performance.
3.Ireland-Nicky Byrne-Sunlight
Ireland, sent Nicky Byrne who used to be a part of Westlife and he was also their spokesperson back in 2013, 2014 and 2015. The song itself is good and his vocals live was on point, I think that if he could bring out a good live in Stockholm, Ireland would surely qualify and if he could build the wonderful atmosphere when he sings, then he might do really well. This song has the potential to qualify and I must say that it has the potential to receive the golden ticket to the grand final.
4.Israel-Hovi Star-Made of Stars
I must say that this is something like a slower and softer version compared to the previous one but this is actually a good ballad, Hovi's vocals really blends in with the song too. This version actually suits me really well, albeit I like both of the versions equally. The lyrics are really good and it also has a good choice of words, which is what I love about this song. For the live, I hope that there would be a white grand piano with a starry night setting and there are chances for this to qualify if he manages to do well live.
5.Latvia-Justs-Heartbeat
Latvia is sending another masterpiece but this time, we have a good singer with a cute face which is a real adavantage. The song is an upbeat and I must say that it is powerful, which means that it has a high chance to qualify. The song was co-wrote by Aminata and I must say that she did a great job in writing, as Justs vocals blends in with the song perfectly and I could feel the heartbeat in this song.
6.Lithuania-Donny Montell-I've been waiting for this night
Donny Montell is back in Eurovision and I must say that his song this year is better than his entry back in 2012, which was titled Love Is Blind. His entry this year is a really good floorfiller and I must say that there are really high chances for him to qualify this year, as the song is really unforgettable and catchy. If he manages to throw a good performance in Stockholm, then I must say that this song could receive the golden ticket to the grand final.
7.Macedonia-Kaliopi-Dona
In this semi-final, we are having another 2012 alumni and this time it is Kaliopi, who sung Crno I Belo in Baku. This song is totally different from her 2012 entry as this is more of a ballad while Crno I Belo, is a combination of a number of genres. The ballad is powerful and I immediately have the chorus stuck in my head after listening to it once, her vocals also blends in with the song. I hope that this could qualify, as Kaliopi didn't let me down this year with her song and I hope that she would do the same thing with her live performance.
8.Poland-Michal Szpak-Colour of Your Life
Poland sends an emotional ballad which is being sung by Michal Szpak, the song itself is okay and I must say that Michal really expresses his feelings through this song. Through this song, I could imagine a person who is being asked about their true colours, wether it is black or it is white, it is similar to finding the true nature of someone wether it is good or it is bad. The song is good but I still doubt that it would qualify, as I had seen it placing low in many tops and I don't find it strong enough.
9.Serbia-ZAA Sanja Vučić- Goodbye (Shelter)
Serbia is sending a powerful and emotional song this year and I must say that this song has really high chances to qualify. Sanja's vocals are totally on point and I must say that projects the song really well, as her voice really blends in with the song. I believe that this entry has high chances to say goodbye to the semi-final and find a shelter in the grand final.
10.Switzerland-Rykka-We're The Last Of Our Kind
Switzerland sends a powerful upbeat song to the contest, the song is actually memorable yet fabulous and I think that there are chances for her to qualify. The only problem that I have with her is that, her vocals are kind off messy and it needs a bit of enhancements in order for it to get a good place. Well, that's my preview for the first half of the second semi-final of the 2016 Eurovision song contest that would be held on 12 May 2016.
After reviewing the first half of the first semi-final, we are going to review the second half of this semi-final and lets get back to the list, before we proceed:
In this article, I would be reviewing the second half of the first semi-final which would cover the remaining countries in this competitive semi-final.
10.Azerbaijan-Samra-Miracle
Much better than 2015 song in my opinion. It
is catchy and memorable. In my case, this song is still stuck inside my head.
Azerbaijan is a cherished country, Samra has a great voice – i don’t know if
her voice is stunning live – and the song is good. I hope she brings a good
stage, even though she already has a high chance of qualifying.
11.Cyprus-Minus One-Alter Ego
This country has really improved! Minus One
brought us a rock song that is not messy and is loved by almost everyone. Their
lyrics are awesome, their rhythm is so catchy and Alter Ego just follows on and
on. You would enjoy those 3 minutes. Cyprus always manages to qualify, it would be a
sin if this doesn’t qualify. For me: a clear qualifier.
12.Malta-Ira Losco-Walking On Water
We must have got used to Malta’s revamps. From a
chameleon now we have Ira walking in water, but both are great songs. Walk on
water is a great song, its rhythm is unique and catchy. Those background sounds
make a good atmosphere on it, and of course, Ira Losco’s voice is amazing. Even
though, last year Malta was a clear favorite and it stocked in the semifinal.
Hope this doesn’t happen with Ira.
13.Bosnia & Herzegovina-Dalal & Deen ft. Ana Rucner & Jala
This country is back with a
stunning song (in my opinion). Those 4 voices and the background instruments
are awesome. A lot of people despises the rap part, but it just lasts for a few
seconds. Bosnian is a beautiful language. If their voices live and staging are
stunning, I’m pretty sure that it would qualify.
14.Estonia-Jüri Pootsman-Play
Jüri is handsome, and that’s a clear
advantage. Ok, let me start. It is deep, calm and quiet song, but it has a classy
essence. I was not kidding about Jüri’s advantage, it helps him a lot, also his
voice live is great. It is an enjoyable song but no more. In my opinion, it
needs to bring an incredible staging to let it play in the grand final.
15.Czech Republic-Gabriela Gunčíková-I Stand
For me, this is one of the most underrated countries. This
song is really good and I’m sure that Gabriela has a stunning voice live. But,
to be honest, I don’t know if this country will qualify, not because of the
song but because of the country it belongs to. Always underrated. Gabriela
needs to make an awesome staging and job for qualifying, if God wants to.
16.Montenegro-Highway-The Real Thing
It is a good rock song but it is a little bit messy at the same time. Rock songs are generally underrated in ESC and this
song hasn’t be placed well in the majority of tops. And also, it has a lot of
good “rivals”. So, to be honest, Montenegro will not qualify.
17.Iceland-Greta Salome- Hear Them Calling
Greta is back with a great song! It is
catchy, her voice live is stunning and her staging too. Iceland has been a
cherished country until 2015. Now we don’t know what can happen. In my opinion,
it has a 50% chance of qualifying. Iceland doesn’t have a big dispora as much as the other
countries, but if Greta rocks the stage, I’m sure she will qualify.
18.Austria-Zoe-Loin D'ici
It is a lovely and cute – French – song. Zoe
doesn’t have the best voice live but the song has been growing gradually in people. Austria
has been qualifying frequently but probably this will be the exception. Unless is
completely grown for people for receiving enough votes.
As we had completed the list for the first semi-final, here are the potential qualifiers of this semi-final in my point of view:
Armenia
Russia
Hungary
Azerbaijan
Cyprus
Finland
Greece
Bosnia and Herzegovina
Estonia
Malta
Well, that is my prediction and opinion for the first semi-final of the contest and I hoped that your favourite could also qualify to the grand final.
